Abbey Wood STN – Close OUT and Handover

Key Facts

Abbey Wood Station acts as terminus for the Elizabeth Line, which was built during the Crossrail Programme. The project and principal contractor were demobilised in 2018, and there was significant documentation outstanding that was needed to close out the project’s obligation to produce a Health & Safety File and to support transfer to Rail for London Infrastructure (RFLI) as the Station owner and maintainer.

EFA Engineering worked together with the existing Network Rail project team, took the lead and reviewed the outstanding documentation, removed unnecessary information and split the input that was required for a complete handover per discipline, while actively engaging with RFLI and NRG to prepare the final handover.
