Piccadilly Line Upgrade – RFID Project

As part of the Piccadilly Line Upgrade programme, EFA Engineering was appointed to survey, design, and install over 500 Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags along the Piccadilly Line mainline of the London Underground.

This critical upgrade enhances asset tracking and operational efficiency by enabling precise real-time monitoring of infrastructure and rolling stock. The project involved detailed site surveys, bespoke RFID system design tailored to the underground environment, and careful installation to ensure reliability and compliance with safety standards.
